2011 Winner - Matt Meister

Matt Meister

Matt started his offiiating career in 1995. He has been to the state tournament before and was select this year as the line judge in the 3A Final at the Tacoma Dome (and on TV too!), Mat has also served on the board in the early 2000s and rejoined the board last year and currently heads the EFOA sportsmanship program.

2010 Winner - Rick Langeland

Rick Langeland

Rick began officiating with EFOA in 1996. He is normally a headlinesman or a line judge and has worked numerous local playoff games. Additionally, he has been selected four times for the state tournament and once worked the 4A state final as the head linesman. Rick has been elected to the EFOA board twice and has been active in the EFOA. training program.

2009 Winner - Jim Goss

Jim Goss

Jim started as an official with EFOA in 1988. He has worked most positions and served as EFOA president. He has officiated at the highest levels locally and been selected to work the state championship tournament.

2008 Winner - Ric Bishop

Ric Bishop

Ric's first year as an official was 2000. Over the years he has worked hard to become an outstanding umpire within EFOA. In 2010 he was selected to be the umpire in the 4A state final game. His crew for that game received an outstanding evaluation and were recognized as the best crew of the tournament. Ric also is a member of the Shriners and is a key volunteer for the Shriner All Star Football game each July.
